Music Appreciation

Music Appreciation, a full year course, provides an overview of the development of western music from the Renaissance to Modern times. The focus is on select European and American composers, how they were influenced by the historical, cultural, and musical settings in which they wrote, and how they influenced the musical styles of their times. By increasing our understanding of our musical heritage, we increase our appreciation and our enjoyment. (00001131)
