COVID-19 & Distance Learning Plan

On June 24, 2020, Governor Ducey issued Executive Order 2020-41 Prioritizing Kids and Schools During COVID-19 regarding the reopening of schools for school year 2020-2021. As part of the Executive Order, all public schools may submit a Distance Learning Plan (DLP) to receive the flexibility to offer distance learning options for students without an approved Arizona Online Instruction (AOI) program for the 2020-2021 school year.
In an effort to mitigate risk and promote safe and responsible learning, Freedom Prep Academy will follow the requirements and mandates outlined in EO 2020-51: Arizona: Open for Learning.
If and when FPA opts to open a physical campus or to provide in-person instruction, it will follow responsible benchmarks and measures to ensure safe and responsible in-person instruction.
As required by state/local authorities, students and staff attending a physical campus will be expected to wear face coverings while on campus. If authorities lift this requirement, face coverings will become optional but recommended.
See notification and communication to parents/guardians about school operations prior to the first day of distance learning and requirements to maintain enrollment.
As an Arizona Online Instruction (AOI) School, Freedom Prep Academy does not operate a physical campus, nonetheless, we are committed to empowering all our students with relevant resources to succeed. In addition to our virtual offerings, we will offer site-based instruction and support through on-site microschools.
